Red Tent Tincture

Our handmade, small batch Red Tent tincture has been formulated for those who bleed once a month and may experience physical, emotional, and mental discomfort in the luteal phase and during menstruation. 
 
The herbs in this blend are intended to support the liver, help with tension + pain, lift the mood, soften the heart, relax the gut and allow for an easier release of blood/tissue from the uterus.
 
Pennyroyal - (Mentha pulegium) is known for its emmenagogue properties, which help regulate the menstrual cycle and alleviate menstrual cramps.
 
Mugwort - (Artemisia vulgaris & Artemisia verlotiorum) a uterine tonic and an emmenagogue. Our formula features both vulgaris and Chinese mugwort. Like pennyroyal mugwort helps regulate the menstrual cycle. As a bitter herb it also helps with digestion and supports the liver's hormonal clearance.
 
Motherwort - (Leonurus cardiaca) - Be held by the Great Mother, by lion’s heart courage, by the bravery and determination of a plant that knows how to hold our tenderest places in times of grief and loss. Motherwort is a powerful ally for mothers and women, helping regulate female cycles, protect the heart, and ease pain and tension. Because of her bitter quality, she supports digestion and activates the vagus nerve.
 
Catnip - (Nepeta cataria) is a relaxing and reliable nervine that helps us feel grounded and spacious in the body. Catnip eases tension in the trunk of the body, lifts the mood, helps us sleep and supports digestion. Catnip is well known for being a herb with menstrual support qualities due to its relaxant nature.
 
 
Our tincture is made on our farm by hand using our organically grown herbs. Formulated with love and reverence for the plant-kin and the land on which we grow - Gumbaynggirr Country.
 
Ingredients: pennyroyal, mugwort, motherwort, Chinese mugwort, catnip, alcohol, filtered rain water.
 
Use during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle and during bleeding, 3 x dropper with water or juice per day.
